Gold RoSPA Awards for Hewden and Finning
Finning (UK) and Hewden are celebrating winning Gold Awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The Gold Awards were presented at a ceremony on 14th May at the Birmingham Hilton Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre. This is the second year that Finning and Hewden have entered; having achieved silver awards in 2008 for their first ever entries.
Jim Gray, Head of EHS&Q commented that: "The RoSPA Gold Awards relate to our operations and locations across the UK and add to our impressive health and safety credentials which already include safety accreditation OHSAS 18001, environmental accreditation ISO 14001, quality accreditation ISO 9001, SafeContractor and the Achilles Audit among others.
"The Gold Award represents a consistent standard of health and safety both onsite and within the work place. This level of achievement highlights a commitment and dedication from all of our employees and is great progress for both Hewden and Finning in such a short space of time."
As a registered charity, RoSPA, whose patron is Her Majesty the Queen, concentrates on saving lives and reducing injuries. Recognition is given for commitment to occupational health and safety, a reduction in accidents and ill health in the workplace and implementation of health and safety management systems.
