RoSPA and Finning Learning Legacy

"Sharing to save lives, reduce injuries and protect health"

The RoSPA health and safety awards scheme is Britain's oldest and most prestigious scheme of its type. Its aim is not just to help raise standards and celebrate health and safety (H&S) success but to help identify and share good practice.

This year, RoSPA, Britain's leading safety charity and Finning UK, 2012 winner of RoSPA's top award, the Sir George Earle Trophy, have joined forces to launched this special 'learning legacy' area. Our aim is to promote H&S development by spreading good practice and we have invited all 2012 sector award winners and 'commended' organisations (LINK) to participate by contributing good practice links connected to the following themes:

1) employee led simplification of H&S procedures;
2) developing team safety dynamics; and
3) 24/7 safety, emphasising family values and preventing accidents outside work.

We are keen to gather even more links that can provide access to relevant guidance, standards, research, awareness-raising tools, tool box materials, videos and other materials - with maximum focus on leadership, employee engagement and developing the role of front line staff in delivering H&S performance improvement.
