Cat Classic parts are designed by Caterpillar engineers to meet the needs of older equipment where the original design specifications and equipment usage no longer require original Cat parts. Classic parts are competitively priced and come with the same warranty as original parts; 6 months over the counter, or 12 months if fitted by a Finning engineer.

There are more than 70 machine models covered by Cat Classic parts, including the D6D/E/H and D8H/K Track Type Tractors, 320 Hydraulic Excavator and 960B-E and 980B-C Wheel Loaders. A full range of models covered can be obtained from your local parts counter.
Parts coverage
Parts coverage varies by machine, but typically the following parts are available on machines covered by Cat Classic:
- Drive train parts – Gears, shafts, pinions, housings, drums, hubs, carriers, torque converter kits (turbine, impeller and stator) and steering clutch kits (drum, plates, discs and springs).
- Engine parts – Liner kits (piston and liner group with piston rings), cylinder heads, gaskets, exhaust manifolds, mufflers, pre-combustion chambers, valve kits, fuel transfer pumps, fuel lines, crankshafts, camshafts, dampers, connecting rods, gears and pulleys.
