Staying safe at sea with Finning (UK) and the RNLI
At work, or at play… however you spend your time on the water, put safety first.
Take your boat’s engine for example. It’s a fact that more lifeboats are called out to vessels with engine-related issues than for any other reason.*
So, Finning Power Systems has teamed up with the RNLI to give boat owners practical advice on basic engine maintenance techniques to help them stay safe at sea.
The video below contains some very useful tips that even the most inexperienced of boat owners can follow, from checking your fuel levels to cleaning a filter.
You can also view our sea safety engine checklist. This contains our top ten checks that you should run through before each trip. They’ll only take you five minutes but will give you the confidence that your engine is in the best condition for the journey ahead.
It’s worth remembering to have your engine serviced regularly by a professional too. We recommend that you find your engine manufacturer’s authorised dealer in your area. They’ll be able to provide quality repair and maintenance services to keep your engine running at peak performance.
